What is the Internet? The internet, in simplest terms, is the large group of millions of computers around the world that are all connected to one another. These computers are connected by phone lines, fiber optic lines, coaxial cable, satellites, and Wireless Connections.

When you log on to the Internet you are given access to many of the other computers that are connected around the world. What I want to say here is, is it really a thing on the Internet is really there? This is where the question whether we take care of things on the internet.

For me it is not, because not all the rumors on the internet is one hundred percent true. Sometimes we are easily fooled by a variety of brochures, article, news, and assorted other. Every time I surf the Internet, I do not fully trust the website when you are in delivering an others of article primarily political. Such things can not be taken lightly because we have to investigate first before making the decision believe it or not.

We have various ways to prevent themselves from believing. Which one are we able to investigate or refer the right resources such as news on TV, radio, and newspapers. There is many different ways media sources that we can find from the Internet. There are many websites that can manipulate our minds to continue to believe it. Among the websites is that offer shares in an investment. I am very sure, from here should be more influential with there.

Therefore, we should take precautions before making a decision with just one look. Not all items displayed on the Internet is true. Investigate before believing.

Would you believe that!?

Sometimes I do frankly speaking... probably one of those times doing assignment moments where I get all the info’s from Wikipedia. But knowing that Wikipedia is a free platform for anyone to write on, it gets a wee bit unreliable. Though they do have reference, citations and some reviewers maintaining its authenticity, anyone can get into it and alter the information within the site.

Well, you get the idea. Here's an example of how anyone can change an article in Wiki. Oh and ignore the vulgarism in it too.

I've witness arguments backing their points from Wiki. And know this, they didn't win. Simply because...well it's out of question how authentic Wiki is in any argument. I think a lot believed in Wiki for its authentic-like layout with articles and citations etc. It's possible for anyone to alter some infos even though it has citations and reference in it. I assume any scholar would know that Wiki is not legitimate enough to be part of an academic research.

So, answering the question, whether i take what is on the Internet, I'd answer yes. But that doesn't mean i totally ignore other sources other than what i read on the Internet.

Based on the comic, clearly the guy isn't capable of differentiating a hoax and truth. It depends really. If you're reading something out of a blog, you know it's an opinion based news. If you're reading from a notorious websites (I wouldn't say notorious, but i can't find the proper word), you're sure to know their contents are purely for humor and fun. But if it's sites like NatGeo, Discovery or other big names sites such as these, they are recognized and made their proper research and works.

Without news in our life, it will feel just like a movie without a sound. How could we enjoy the film if there are no sound at all. This show us how important that news in our life. Beside television and newspapers, many people agreed that internet could be a primary source for us to find information and news. But, when I spending my time for searching the important news, I found these websites that really make me feel so fake... I mean really fake...

In this website, you can create your own news!!! It's just as simple as ABC and 123. First, you just type the victim's name, city, and gender, then you choose the headlines. You can choose many stories that you want to use, or you also can create your own story. After you finish, just give your friends the link to the website and it will connect it to their main page that really look like other news website.

Fake A Wish
This website is similar to WasArrested website, but, they are all about celebrities. It is just like other fake and prank news website. First, you just write the celebrities name, choose the story, and then, there you go, a fake hot story about your favorite celebrity. You can choose either you want your celebrity to be missing, hospitalized, or dead. See? How easy it's work. The best part of this website is the page just look like classic Yahoo! News page with the story you selected.

Fodey
If you’re looking to create a fake newspaper clipping, head over to Fodey. Just think up of a completely made-up story and have it look like it was published on some newspaper’s front page. It’s really easy to do. Type in name of the newspaper, the date, and start entering in whatever news article you can come up with. Then. you can get a newspaper clipping that tell about you fake stories.

After I realize this website, I start to not 100% believe in what I've read on the internet. If the fake news can easily produce, how can i believe in those news? But, in my opinion, we must searching for a really good source of news in the internet. Try to read the news from official news website such as CNN website. You can read these fake news just for entertainment and to make you laugh. :)

Internet control your life?

Today, the world now, internet is a thing that really need in our life. If we cant get the internet connection, we will feel there's something that wrong in our life. It like something missing on our daily life. This is because, internet is the way for them to do some research, read the latest news, study on some facts, and many more. They use the internet daily to learn and to know something what's going on today. And, there's a question, is internet always right? Are they write the true
story?

For me, it is not. Not all website are right. We do not know who write the story or news. There's an example from comic below;

From this short comic, we knew that, it just a kid that not know much about the world. Then, he write the story on the certain website and we (the adult that knowledgeable) believe on what that kid write. After that, we start talk about the
things that we are believe on.



There's a other things that make I not really believe on internet is e-mail. Sometimes, i got an e-mail that talk bad about certain company or brand. Lastly, i knew that, they just want to make them down. It is like boycott. So people will not buy that brand anymore. This shows that they are selfish, think about themselves. They use the internet to make them popular and famous. This is totally wrong.

Bloggers or journalists. We do not know about the fact are true or not. From the example above, it a kid write the news. But sometimes, people that not really doing the research, write about something important. Then they think they always right, and they are the genius. But the truth is, they do not even know about that facts. So the people like this will make the whole thing up side down. And the people that going to study or research, will get the wrong information.

And the last thing, from what I heard, the west world planning to control the world through media. And this internet is one of the media. They write about something to change our thought. They will just look at the right-wing. So they don't really care about it true or false. There's a term fisking that to pull an article apart line by line to expose its inaccuracies.

Therefore, the internet is not always right. We need to do many research on something to get an original information. For those who love to write, you need to do deeply research on that issue before you publish it. Or not, you may be the one
who ruins the peaceful life.

Internet. The new king in the world.

Nowadays, internet become more important than a televsion. Using internet, we can get entertainment stuff, political news, sport news, more faster then to wait infront of television.

From the research, we know, teenagers is the main users of the internet. And yes, they spent more time infront of the computer, laptop, handphone or anything that can connect to internet more then watching news on television. Same with what I use to do everyday, I spent more time infront of laptop, read blog, news.

And there sometimes, poeple will ask, do we believe 100% of what we read, what we see, what we hear on the internet?

To me, I dont trust 100% of what I read on the internet, but I think, what is posted in the internet sometimes is more interesting to read then hear it in television. This is because, people use internet as alternative media to post something that mainstream media cant publish it. Thats is the main reason, why I love to read more about something in the internet, ecspecially about the politic.

I know, some web/blog not posting the real fact about something, let say, politic. But then, I still love to read their blog/web. This is because, I can read their opinion about certain topic. But that doesnt make me to believe or make them influnce me on that issues. It just....I love to read it. I dont know why.

In my opinion, what have posted on the internet can make us to think more widely/deeply. Just like doing research on something, that is the way how we should do to "believe" on something. Dont "eat" it directly. Do more research on it. Read more article about it. Then only we can think rationally. Isnt it?

Just like happen in out country, we can see the power of internet influnce more people to talk, accept, think on certain issues then just accept on what mainstream media show in the television.

As a conclusion, we must think more about some issues, then just accept it, even from any media, mainstream media, traditional media. That make us a user, not a media-victim.

Internet. The source of all information. But, the question is, are they true?
That is the main thing we should have been considered. YES, you are right to say that, we can get all the info from the internet, but, not all the informations are true. Maybe some of them had been made up by others simply just draw our attentions. Internet are widely use around the world and same with the information you have taken. We cannot take 100% of the info, maybe its false and maybe its true. So, for me, i just take 50% from it, and the other 50% is based on my research. A research about the info. To know the truth. For an example, compare the info between 2 websites. And you will find it different if it is wrong and you will find it same if it s right. But dont simply trust it. Do compare it with other websites and you will know the truth about it.That is one of thing you can do in order to get the real info.

As you all can see, internet are widely use and so do the users, it all comes from around the world. And they are many things that they can do and so you. I mean, you can put anything in the internet even it is fake. But for some people, they would believe it. Same goes for you. Usually, all the info in internet are rare, what i mean here is, it cannot be publish in the public media but you can get it from the internet. How easy it is. That is how internet works. It always got our attentions.


But, there are some websites that you can rely on, can believe in. The official websites of some media. There are some info that you cant get it in the television but you can get in their official website. This is maybe because of the info itself, it maybe will offense some of the society. Or maybe it simply because they dont know the truth about it yet. So they just put in just to get our attentions. That is why you should do some research about it first, just to know is it true or not.
Like me, im always surfs the internet to get some info for my assignments and it is hard to get the real info about something, i have to do many research just to get one real info. Nowadays, people can do anything they want simply by using the internet.

As the conclusion, its actually based on our thinking. It is us that plays an important role. Its up to us to simply believe it or not. So, to all the internet users out there, think before you swallow it.

“Concealed”. That’s the only word I can describe how the media is able to do tremendous effect on its audience. It’s so powerful yet subtle. It’s so well concealed that the audience don’t realize that the media is changing perceptions and beliefs. Especially visually interpreted which makes it even more believable.

Honestly, I have very little awareness of media stereotyping in what I conceive from television, music, and movies. I never bothered and digest them with ease. Only by doing a little search and readings that struck me that the media is really playing a game on the audience. Wow!

I thought of logging on the keyword “racism in media” in google and sure enough there’s plenty to discuss and brought forward. In movies and TV program, film makers induce the audience into believing that certain human traits have a much specified personality. If you have a latin American in a film, you are sure to relate them to be from a slum and deals with drugs. If there’s an asian actor in an English film, he’s got to have super martial art ability. This stereotype trait makes it easy for film directors to portray a certain character of which the mass has already believed and accept. But, I’d say they are all deceived and narrowed to an extent that their social behaviors towards the victimized race are affected. Whether it be positively or negatively.

Speaking of conceal-ness, I read on stereotypes in children’s movies. I was surprised that in my younger years, I used to watch them! Movies like “The Jungle Book”, “Lady and the Tramp” and numerous other titles. I personally think it did shaped how I percept certain race.

Here are some examples;

In the Jungle Book, all animals in the jungle speak in proper British accents. Except, of course; for the jive-talking, gibberish-spouting monkeys which portray the blacks.

Even in Aladdin, portrays “bad” characters with very thick Arab accent while Jasmine and Aladdin has a very American English accent.

In The Lion King, the hyenas use African-American accents which are considered the bad guys.

See, whether it is intentionally or not; to make a film diverse in culture and language, I don’t think it’s appropriate for children to conceive the idea of simplified characteristic by stereotyping unless they are informed and explained of this inaccuracy. Because without it, they may form bias and prejudice towards other races.

It’s almost difficult to distinct whether their portrayals of certain races are true or false in the media. But one thing is for sure that simplifying a character with stereotype affects a lot on how audience percept on them (victims of stereotypes).

In my opinion, stereotype media should not have in any media. It can start a fire from anyone. This is because they talk bad for any race or religion. This will make people to start fighting each other because they talk the things that not happen to them. It means like we just see once their bad, then we blame and label them as a bad person.

Some of example that stereotype takes place in media likes televisyen, radio, or magazine. In televisyen, they make a movie that included the stereotype that use bad attitude on certain races such as Aladdin and Simpsons. This kind of cartoon movies, will influence this kid's mind that Arab is bad person. So the future generation will said that Arab is the most bad person in the world. This is totally wrong. They can't just judge them without search deeply about the Arab. Well, in this world, we have bad and good person. So there's many bad person in the world on all races.

In the issue about September,11, they said that Arab attacking them. Actually the truth is they plan on their own to start the war. But are they really know that they (the one who attack) are Arab? From what I know, there are plan by their own to start the war. They knows that Arab rich with oil. So maybe they jealous about it, then they want to conquer they rich-oil-land.

As a conclusion, stereotype media are totally wrong. They can't talk negative about other races or religion. They have their own life to live peacefully.

Something about media stereotypes

Media streotypes, we may not know what is the media stereotypes because these things only happen with the blink of an eye. Media stereotypes can not be prevented, especially in the advertising, entertainment and news industries, which need as wide an audience as possible to quickly understand information. From one of the documentary, titled "Reel Bad Arabs: How Hollywood Vilifies a People", it shows that there are elements of people who can make a racism.

In the documentary, many Hollywood movies that show Arab is bad and the action is played by the Arabs are violent. From there, I investigate whether this is true and it proved this statement correct. Media stereotypes, many occurring in magazines, TV, movies, games and other media outlets.

From my research, this is an example of media stereotypes. A good example of cartoons depicting Arabs in a negative manner is Walt Disney's animated feature film, Aladdin (The Walt Disney Company, 1993). This story shows the negative nature of the Arabs. Among the characters the Sultan, for instance, did not look like he was from an Arab country, pug the antagonist, Jafer. Jafer the only Arab character with exaggerated features, was displayed as the epitome of evil throughout the film. This depiction of The evil, Inspiring Jafer, is an example of the Western view toward the Arab people.

For me, not all types of media stereotypes are negative. Perhaps there is some media do not support this media stereotype as example above.

About Media Stereotypes.
What is stereotypes ?Whats others example that we can see beside common media stereotypes such as the Tv,magazines,movies and more.

Stereotypes as understood from the definition, goes mostly hand in hand with media only not the regular meaning of the innocent media we know. Media propaganda is the other form of media that is rather described as media MANIPULATION and how stereotypes are generally portrayed and their function in propaganda. Also it will further reveal how successful and well stereotypes can work when used in propaganda tactics.

For your information,Stereotypes have exist among human from the beginning of life through media,social,politic and religion.A lot of peoples know wells about this media message however their ignorance and arrogance seems to accept this as a normal issues.Although all stereotypes not negative,we must think about the future generation.
What this message brings to our child?

Some example of stereotypes especially in Hollywood after doing a research is from the movie SIMPSON. The main characters such as Apu are the some example of the stereotypes.On this show Apu character as an Indian immigrant, who prays to Ganesh, and holds a highly noticeable and dissimilar accent. This is stereotypes that contains confusing message and observe by a childs that accepts this as a humour.

Others is from the 9/11 tragedy.A long after this twin towers collapse a lot of conspiracy appear and peoples start to stereotypes its in TV,movies,magazine and many more through public attention.

The Magic Black

This character always seen in movie The Green Mile, The Legend of Bagger Vance, The Shawshank Redemption, Bruce Almighty, Song of the South. This character always played by a black man who wiser and humble in the story. They are usually a farmer or a janitor that possessed a great earthly wisdom.

The stereotypes that shown in this character are this black people got this power with out work or training at all. They just stand there and receive certain power. Moreover, this character always shown work as a slave.

The Latina Maid

This character always seen in Goonies, Maid in Manhattan, Spanglish, Crash, Mad Money, Down and Out in Beverly Hills. The Latina Maid's role was usually a women between 30 and 60 years old. They always running around with a vacuum cleaner, or waving a duster around at some vases removing their dust and your dignity at the same time. But don't worry! The Latina Maid will usually have her time to shine and use her special secret move in the middle of the movie.

The bad things about these latina maid are they always seen as a maid or slave. in years '50s, there are so many latina maid in America. They also be a sex slave for their master. and this will influence people to think how bad this latina maid.

Stereotypes in hollywood

Television. It is a powerfull media to spread the propaganda, to control the mind of the community. The example from the video the lecterur show to us, show many television programs and films in the hollywood, show that Arab is bad people.

Why its happened like that?
In my opinion, that is the way how American government control the mind the of the people in the world by showing the arab people is a terrorist. In the world, arab country is among the riches country in the world, where oil is produced by the arab countries. If the USA government can rule the arab country, there also can rule the world. Yes, thats the fact. That is why there must search the way, the silent way to rule the arabians. And one of the way, is by contol the media. Produce a film, shows the arabs is bad. And yes, now we can see, how the arabs get effect from that. Morever, when the 9/11 tragedy happened, people automaticly said arabs do it. Why it happened that way? For sure, from the stereotype media, showing that arab is a bad people. Isnt it like that?

One example, where a program shows that arab is a evil, is this Jeff Dunham ( a famous comedian) named Achmed the Dead Terrorist.



The shows recorded and publish in youtube, wheres 109 836 593 views on it. That is a big values. If you already watch this shows, you can see, how Jeff Dunham make jokes about muslim as a terrorist. Yes, I agree, the show is funny. But then, this is a real example, how the people like this, spread their own propaganda ; that is Muslim is a terrorist.

Media stereotypes

I have seen the documentary posted by our lecturer, and i think it is bad and wrong to judge someone or races. This media stereotypes has a great influence, they can easily affects our mind and change our thoughts. Nowadays, this media stereotypes comes in varieties. Even in cartoons, so, kids can be easily influenced by the media.

Based on my experience and researches, i have encountered many types of this media stereotypes. Not only in documentaries programs, but in movies. They did put some of the stereotypes elements in the movie it self based on the passed. Why are they doing it? to influence us, to change our perceptions, to make us think they are right, thats why. As in CNN, they said that muslim are all terrorists, but for me, they are not and maybe just some of them are bad. But this happens in all races, i mean, there will be bad people in each races. I have seen a lot of radical movies, documentaries, and i have seen a lot of racism going on. And about this stereotypes media, i think they also did put this elements. To make us hates on certain races just because they (the one that runs this stereotypes media) hate it.

This is all depends on us. To believe or not. They are trying to manipulate our thinking. To make us believe in them. There are many things going on nowadays, they all related to this kind of problems. I think, this is all because of media, stereotypes media. Media plays an important role, people can simply believe in what they share. This stereotypes media grows larger everyday, i think its possible someday this media rules our minds. As the conclusion, we are all educated and i think we know the difference between "media" and "stereotypes media".

From my research,Stereotypes act like codes that give audiences a quick, common understanding of a person or group of people.Besides that,it relates to their class, race, gender, social role or occupation.this week assignment asked me about 'have i seen this type of media in television,magazines or movies?', i think i have seen this type of media but most in documentary. They will explain something directly and consistence about that topic. In the movies,i noticed once about the racial stereotypes. It was an English movie. It is something about the onvolve of colour. That movies should not be published because it will make a real conspiracy.Then,the advertising in magazines or billboard it will shows something they show about perfectness that can manipulate the thinking of the people. One of the example, models are often pictured as unreasonably skinny, and the airbrushing techniques of modern technology make women in the media look impossibly perfect. This have effect the thinking of woman and girls in the real world. The HIGHEST differents between this two is bloggers write a content or story because they want to and journalist writing because they want to be paid.

However both experienced the same path which is good and writing is the main idea.
Bloggers writing about what is consider to be happening around us.They writing about what they feel,what is suppose to change,what is needs to be care of nowadays.Most bloggers create blog because they like to.They speaks right from their heart and purposely spread to peoples through media such as internet mostly.Social Media still is a really helpful tools to bloggers and journalist.Some bloggers also create blog to expose his non-satisfied to crowd usually based on politic or sports nowadays.

Journalist such as reporter helps to write a story daily through experience.Some journalist are correct and some of them are not.They writing about peoples all around the globe,they writing about peoples problems.This vast information however create not only entertainment but chaos around the human era.

The rules are simple blogging peoples and journalist are`s different.Take note.

Blog = Journalism ?

I think it is. Blogging is basically a practice of journalism.

By it's own definition; journalist are those people who prepares news to be broadcast on various means. And this includes the Internet.

I think the big difference between the two is that blogging allows us to put up information at will. Blogs don't necessarily need to be filtered out, edited or organized to be published formally. It's where bloggers use this space to express themselves freely.That's where blogs are realized to be a valuable asset to spread information.

Key feature to a blog is the "follow" feature which enables users to subscribe to blog. You see, bloggers fuel their contents from everything that might catch the attention of readers. Slowly, they develop a style of writing of which people will constantly follow up with its content.

There's 2 types of blogging.

The first is blogging for private use. These blogs writes about personal life, hobby, interest and groups. Basically it's an online journal.

The second is blogging for public view. These blogs targets a high number of views and of course it is easily accessible. Their content covers an array of topic. From a totally pointless image blog to a serious online business to an on scene news.

What troubles me though is not knowing the origins of their sources. I really question their(bloggers) credibility to spread news/rumours. Some would make bizarre news just to get publicity in order to get more traffic into their site. In this case, more traffic, more chances for adsense right? More cash flowing in.

But i don't despise all news blogs. Some are pretty reliable and are better written when compared to the mainstream news. You just need to get to know who writes them and what are the reader's feedbacks.

Oh, and politics use blogs to promote their campaigns , propagandas and movements. That proves that blogs outsmart mainstream media for such purposes.

Blogger is definitely not equal as journalist.

Every day we shared stories, experiences, tastes, the things that bring about world issues, politics, and events, and other crimes. Because of the existence of blogs and journals. But there are some people label that bloggers are journalists.

Reason why people thinking of that
The reason why some people think like that because they think the way they convey the same information, whether bloggers or journalists. There is no doubt they are the same but the delivery of information communicated between bloggers and journalists are totally different. So, what is the difference between bloggers and journalists?

Differrent between bloggers and journalists
-Blogger is a person who writes a personal diary and shared to anyone who visited his blog about his experiences with the public.
-Journalist is the one who writes, collects and disseminates information about current events such as world affairs, crime, politics, the problems of society and so on.

Finally, the task of a blogger is very different from the work as journalists. Although they have a way of delivery of the same information through the media, but its contain information that is altogether different.

Is the blogging is the new form of journalism?
To me, no.

Blogger is a person who update and post something into their blog, in the internet. A person is not called as a blogger if he post something on newspaper, that is not a blogger. Anybody can become a blogger. Even the person is 5 years old.

While journalist ; journalist is a person who working with media, whether it is traditional media or electronic media. They write certain topic, based on fact.

To become a journalist, there a certain criteria the journalist should follow. Yes, they learn this before they can officially become the journalist. Maybe in the university, college. Different with blogging, anybody can become a bloggers. With a condition, they can acces to the internet. Blogging doesnt need you to study something for a specific year.

In the new era, yes there are some of the bloggers, who does not like the mainstream media. So they become a "journalist" by writing the news in their own blog. They like to call themselve independent journalist. Some of them, try to tell the real fact, about certain news, that sometimes censored in mainstream media. Yes, this is an example of good bloggers who want to be the journalist. But not all of the journalist is try to tell the real story, some of them just like to write something, that is not true and even, that is not a fact. This is the main reason why i don't want to acknowledge blogger as a journalist.

What I am trying to say here is, I am not agree with the statement, that bloggers are journalist. Yes, they can become a journalist, if they really want to. But then, they must learn, the ethic and criteria, before they call themselve a journalist.

Nowadays, people share things in blogging. But, what are the things they sharing? That is the thing that make difference between bloggers and journalist. There are some bloggers that actually act as journalist. The one that shares info about current event, trends, peoples and provide commentary or news on a particular subject. So, as you all can see, not all bloggers are just blogging, there are some sharing information.


Actually, blogger is the person who writes a blog either to financially benefit the blogger or to promote the blogger's favorite causes. And a journalist collects and disseminates information about current events, people, trends, and issues. Reporters are one type of journalist. They They create reports as a profession for broadcast or publication in mass media such as newspapers, televisions, radio, magazines, documentary films and the internet.

As conclusion, sometimes, bloggers are journalist. It is us that judges them based on what they wrote.

Blogger are not a Journalists

Yes. It is not the same. Blogger and journalists are totally different. I found this video on youtube, it explain a bit about the different.



So, you know that it is different. "Journalists is the profession of reporting or photographing or editing news stories for one of the media" as said in wordnetweb.princeton.edu. It's mean that, journalists is a job for someone to write a facts on something like news. They also need or must write for earn money because it is a job for them. They do research and interview for them to write it in their article. Their article are protected so if they write wrong they will not be jailed easily.

Bloggers, are different. They write anything he/she wanted to. They can give opinion on any article. They also free to write anything that they want. About their life, expression, ideas, and anything what the want. But, if they touch the sensitive issue, they can be sue by the government if they write any bad about it.

So, for me, bloggers and journalists are different. Bloggers is someone who can write anything that they want to write. Journalists is a profession that they need to write an article for their company.

Blogger VS Journalist...

Personally, blogger and journalist actually are not the same. Even though these people are working on writing, but, actually they are quite different.

As we all know, journalist is a person who write a journal. For me, journal usually contain a story of a lifetime of a writer. Journal is actually a diary that was written by a person to tell everybody about how their journey through the life. The first journal was founded in year 1600.

Blogger is a person who is responsible to write their blog, and this blog is not only about themselves. Blog is more open than a journal. Blog don't have a barrier for the writers. They can write anything they want as long as it's not touch the sensitive issues. We can write about hobbies, democracy, or business in the blog. We also can write about our life. Sometimes, blog can be a best source when you need to look for an answer because they have many opinion from all over the world. You also can comment to their post. Blogger also can exchange their opinion and ideas because every person have different things to tell.

As a conclusion, either blogger or journalist, they are the persons who have stories to tell. Their stories contain many important massage that we can take as a guide for brighten our life. We must appreciate them and take as many lessons as we can from their stories.

Social Media.
This nowadays phenomenon that is getting better and tougher everyday. I really dont know where to start because I have so many stories about social media changing my life and provide me a tool to help others.
Theres a lot of example relating to Social Media however some of the affects of its on me is Social Media always a very helpful tool especially on using this networking tool such as the Internet usage. Internet usage is very important in my daily life because it helps me reaching news around the worlds,exploring world and communicate with others.
Social Media helps me to getting me more knowledge and improving my education in life.

Social Media can be said to have three components Concept (art, information, or meme).Media (physical, electronic, or verbal).Social interface (intimate direct, community engagement, social viral, electronic broadcast or syndication, or other physical media such as print).

Social Media is very wide and as a human we have to be proud to use this powerful tool and make a good usage on its.

Social media affects quite positively...if you ask me.

Social media…well this affect little to almost our entire lives. With the growth of Internet access in rural areas in my hometown, my home community seems to utilize this technology to their advantage.

My aunt opened up a domain online to promote her home made cakes and cuisines. She started out independently with very few knowledge on computing. Knowing the fact that not many of those in the rural areas could get Internet access, she continued. Somehow, it lifts off to greater heights. At first, only close members her family knew about this. She started spreading it with words of mouth to friends about the new site. It quickly spreads via social websites and a little help spreading the word, her site became popular with incoming orders daily. The reason for it being successful would probably be how people recommended her and was able to look through her online portfolio.

Well, almost everyone in town seems to follow up with the trend. Each member of my family has a Facebook account. My youngest nephew has an account and he’s 8 years old. It builds up a network of people which makes it wonderful and easy at the same time. Say, there’s a gathering at our local KFC branch for a birthday party, I could post it out to all my family members online and poof! Done!

Myself, I wasn’t involved in the online world back then. No one was! Ten years ago, there wasn’t any exposure to open up an account on any social site. Only recently, that I was able to grasp the ability to explore the Internet and get to know how to maneuver in it.

By far, I’ve been using Facebook for almost a year. I’d consider half of my usage of the Internet is on Facebook. People tag, comment, invite for an event and even play online games in it. Some call it an addiction and malicious to an extent. But I find it useful, and a place to land on the virtual world.

Social Media is not a small group. It is very wide and we can separate them into certain category such as; news, sharing, networks, bookmarking and others.

Social networks- This type of social always used by the teenagers and students. Where by you can find friends or to get contact with your family and friends from far. Communicate and socialize is very much a fundamental human need. People like to meet and talk to other people through the internet. They use it to maintain new or existing relationships. They want to communicate ideas and find solidarity with others who share similar interests. The internet has as a function to bring human race together and emphasize on connecting people. Social networking websites such as Facebook and My Space have created a new form of socialization and interaction. Facebook and Myspace are very popular nowadays even I used it to communicate with my friends and can communicate to many other people around the world. For Blogspot we can share our ideas or life to others like writing on a diary through internet. I used to have it for writing my own lyrics and let people comment it so I can get more new ideas. We must be responsible for whatever we write. If you write something bad statements on the internet, you must face it. So, if you think you can't face the fact and the pressure, please think twice before you write something. What we write online will effect all the people around us, and it come between good and bad effects. we must know and understand completely the ethics and the policy of social media.

People always said, “the pen is mightier than the sword.” This can happen even if your distortions are unintentional. These are the tips and ethics in your writing:

Avoid plagiarism or stealing somebody's work or idea

We can't take somebody's work because they are copyright, and they can sue you if you use their works without permission. If you desperately want to use their works, you must list the sources or get their permission to reprint.

Don’t promise what you can’t deliver.

Don't use the promising words such as “may” instead of “will”. If you cannot deliver what you have promised, just say it or never make a promise to anybody. If you make this big mistake, it'll be hard to gain back their trust.

Check your facts.

You may think you remember something accurately, but if there’s any doubt, you want to be sure. Try to re-check the fact until you have confirm that the facts were true. Don't give a false statement because it will cause people to disagree with you and you will be blame for all the mistakes.

As the conclusion, we must thinking twice or more before we write on internet. We must be alert on the things happened around us and the sensitivity of certain people. We cannot write a bad things about other people based on their race, skin colour, religion, and thought, or else, people will label you as a racist. We live in this world as one and just imagine we all sharing the world together in peace...

Among the effects of social media is the negligence of ourselves that can cause a person's life is not orderly. Other purposes is when we are faced with social media is too long, we have no life as a constant.

In addition, there are social networks offering video services which may stimulate a culture change that immediately. Social networks can also make our lives changed with the spread of and cultural influences of a community. One example of social networks that have millions of user as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Social Media ; Powerful tool.

Example of social media- facebook, twitter, myspace, friendster. The new way to socialize with my friends or any person outthere.

To me, social media is not only for socialize, today it becomes a very powerful tool that can ruins the world(believe me). As an example, there is a case in France, a woman in France created a group to raise money for her father’s business after bankruptcy plagued the company and the father committed suicide. She raised over 200,000 euros ($271,379) and used the money to pay the company’s employees their wages owed.

A controversial 'Breast Cancer Awareness' group started a phenomenon of status updates(facebook) describing the colour of a woman’s bra to remind women to get mammograms.

Support for natural disaster victims such as the Victorian Black Saturday survivors can be given via Facebook, and money can be donated to cancer charities via the 'North Wales Calendar Girls Raising Money for Cancer' group.

This show the power of social media where it can bring the effect to the community. Same phenomenon we can see here in our country, where it transform the politic wave in Malaysia. The power of blog, facebook (examples of social media) is changing the way the community see the world. (Im not pro-government, or anti-government here, but this is the FACT).

It means the freedom to talk by everyone.

As a conclusion, to me social media brings a lot of different from 10-15 years ago. Where the traditional media seems conquering the world. But nowadays, we have alternative media, to see the darkness of the goodness or the see the light in the dark. Yes, it is very powerful.
